Does your favorite lip color
rub off minutes after stepping out of the house?
they also make the lipstick wear off in no time.
This is one annoying situation that every woman can relate to. However, the
good news is, you don't need fairy dust to find a solution to this. Here a few
easy ways to make sure that your lip color lasts longer...
- First things first. Scrub off dead cells and skin from your lips with a mild
exfoliator. You can also use a soft toothbrush to get rid of flakes of dry skin
from your lips. Dead cells and skin not only make your lips look dehydrated but
- Moisturize your lips well. You can use a petroleum jelly or a good lip balm.
In fact, one of the best moisturizers are oils such as sweet almond and coconut
oil. Massage either of these on your lips and gently dab off the extra oil with
a tissue.
- Use a lip liner, preferably nude, to make your lipstick last longer. You can
also use it as your base color as it helps add intensity to the color. Fill
your lips with a single coat of lip liner. Since lip liners generally tend to
make lips dry, don't forget to moisturize your lips well prior to its
application.
- It is always advisable to not use a lipstick from the tube. Use a brush to
apply it evenly. Take less amount of color at one go and do not overload the
brush.
- After filling your lips with color, take a tissue and put it on your lips.
Dust a bit of talcum powder with a brush over your lips. This will set the
color and also give you a neat matte effect.
